In October 2023, myself and my colleague, Liam Walsh, were invited to write and deliver a fully-funded, 6-week "Introduction to the Music Industry" course for people in Manchester who were either unemployed or on a low wage.

We wrote and delivered content on the history & evolution of the music industry, music business models, music distribution and monetisation, music marketing and promotion, IP & copyright, contracts and agreements, fanbase building, career planning, and networking.

Putting the course content together was a challenge but it ended up being one of our most rewarding projects of the year.
